With over 50 years of combined healthcare experience, founding partners David Barton and Dr. Donnetta Charles are dedicated rural practitioners with a special interest in complex conditions and a passion for teaching.
Their collaboration to establish Rubix Health grew from a shared frustration of working within a healthcare system struggling to support complex patient care. Donnetta’s unique perspective as a healthcare practitioner and as someone living with persistent pain also gave her a unique insight into the challenges faced by both sides of the consultation room.
After more than a decade of collaboration, David and Donnetta experienced a moment of clarity on a sunny afternoon in 2017. Over coffee, they sketched their vision on a napkin to improve regional pain care delivery for regional doctors and their patients.
Their core vision is to enhance healthcare services through quality, timely digital information. David and Donnetta believe that well-informed healthcare empowers doctors and patients to work together for best-practice, patient-focused care.
Rubix Health services are the result of five years of comprehensive research, consultation, and development, ensuring alignment with the founder’s vision for services that adhere to best practice, are accessible, and, most importantly, ease the pain points for both doctors and patients when navigating pain management services.
